SAT JUL 5th | Protect Ya Neck: Music Law Essentials for DIY Artists | 11am-2pm

$95.00

NAVIGATE THE MUSIC BUSINESS WITH CONFIDENCE

This lab isn't about becoming a lawyer. It's about gaining the essential knowledge to protect your art and make informed decisions. Every day, talented artists enter unfair contracts, sign away song rights to predatory players, and enter into agreements they don't understand. Artists who know the basics of music law and copyrights can enter fair deals, find honest business partners, and prevent years (or a lifetime) of pain.

LAB GOAL: Learn to spot good deals from bad ones, protect your collaborations, and understand how copyrights work.

WHO THIS LAB SERVES:

This lab is designed for indie artists who:

  • Have music ready to release and want to protect it properly

  • Love collaborating but want to safeguard their contributions

  • Are ready to move beyond handshake deals.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:

You’ll walk away with firm understanding of:

  • Copyrights: Master rights vs. publishing rights and how they work

  • Collaboration frameworks that protect everyone, including contract templates for the most collabs

  • Red flags vs. green flags in common music industry contracts

  • Red flags vs green flags when considering business partners

  • AI and copyrights: The 2025 landscape and what it means for your music

INVESTMENT: $95 (+ Tax)

This includes:

  • The 3-hour workshop

  • 10 essential music industry contracts (the same one’s Daniel uses) covering Producer, Recording, Label, Publishing, Management, Work For Hire, Distribution and Film/TV placements.

  • Access to our alumni only What's App group for ongoing support and connection with other TractionLab artists.

  • Real music law knowledge at DIY prices.

Lab size: 12 seats.
